Zoa Lighting

Hey all!

Could any of you seasoned Zoa vets advise if the IM 18w Skkye Light on the Nuvo Fusion 10 is sufficient for Zoas to thrive?

Thank you!

I've seen folks keep corals on power compacts, heck people even use the LED Par 38 bulbs

Its just with better lighting, you have better chance of them coloring up more.

Thanks for the quick reply!!!!! It's either that or drop another $165 and get a Kessil A150w.....

I personally use a Kessil A360WE for my 37 cube. I'm running at close to lowest levels right now.

Well thats comforting! I like the brand and the light, I just don't want to nuke my zoa's with that thing. Hoping if I have at least a foot off the surface it should be ok.

Start with the lowest setting then every couple weeks turn the knob a click or so. Till your happy with the color and intensity you like. I had it before to full on white and blue. But got a bunch of corals so I had to go lowest to acclimatize the new arrivals. Plus shroom thought it was too bright for their liking

Excellent, I will do just that! I appreciate the help!!! :)

Where'd ya find a Kessil A150w for $165, that's the light I want for my 24 aquapod, I think that should be sufficient to grow zoas and a few easy SPSers
