zoa/pally growth

im fairly new to the reef game and was just wondering how everone's growth are? i have had some a small group of tubs blue and lunar eclipse for about a month and a half now..they seem to be ok. most are open fully but i have yet to see any additional growth. am i doing something wrong? my parameters have been good. the tubs blue have glue covering the bottom, perhaps its preventing the mat from expanding?

Nah it's a wait game... Some take off and some seem like they never grow....

Tubs blue grow slow for me too. I tried moving them up in the tank and they just turned white. It take time for them to get ajusted. I started with 2 and now after 5 months I have 11.

No. Different species grow at different rates. This is one of the reasons certain morphs command premium prices.

I have some that take 2 months to grow a new head. Then I also have some that grow 2 heads a month.

my blue tubbs grow like crazy for me. I started with 4 polyps about 8 months ago & now i have at least 75. I have them under a 150 watt MH under the surface about 8 inches with strong flow blowing right on them.

Most of my zoa's & paly's grow pretty fast for me, exept for my PE's & hornets. I would never give up my MH's because i think that is part of the trick of good growth. I am also a strong beliver in high flow for most polyps. I also use coral vite which i thinks helps as well.
