Was wondering on if 2 x vortech mp10's would be good for a 29G cube that is 24"L x 24"W x 12"H

the rock work will be 4" thick with a 2" empty gap behind the rock work and back glass

from left to right 22" long and 10" tall

I have one mp10 in my 30g cube and the thing is a beast. If you are just going to keep zoas/palys I would just get one.

was thinking of getting one for now and putting a powerhead behind the rockwork do you think a hydor nano would be needed?

I will have an average return pump from a 15G sump

Setup the tank with the mp10 and the return pump and see how you like it. If you think you need some more you can always add the hydor nano later. If you have never used the mp10 you will be quite shocked at how much flow that little thing kicks out.

The tank is only 12 inches deep so 4 would be ok, but with a 24 inch width I would probably go with 6 bulbs to get a better coverage. I have a 5 bulb on a 45g cube and it covers it, but I kinda want a six bulb or bigger. Just my opinion, again if you are just going to keep zoas/palys the 4 bulbs will be sufficient.

was thinking the same thing regarding coverage

adding 6 is a hard find in the 24"L besides icecap which is major money

does anyone know of where I can get a 24" 6 x t5 h.o canopy possibly with a splash guard and leg's?

around the $500 or less mark

look for a used 6 x 24 ATI Powermodule. It'd be crazy. Definitely good enough .. or you could use a Tek 4 bulb (which would be fine on its own) and add a few retros.
