Zoa/Paly skirts

I have some zoas and paly's who used to have really long skirts and over the past few months the skirts have gotten shorter. I did increase in lighting from 150W to 250W. Also is there a way to get them to come back out?

there are many factors, but how much flow are they getting? and were they long before increasing the output of the lights? cuz then i'd try and lowering the light. wont be a quick change.

They went from a 29 gallon biocube with 2 K1 pumps and a 150 watt sunpod to a 60 gallon 4'X2'X1' tank with 2 Coralvue 1250GPH pumps and 2 250W metal halides that are setting about 20" above the surface of the tank.

i dont know, I think more flow would be better. my Everlasting Gobstoppers are in high flow and they have long flowing skirts but I think all EGs do.

After I transferred my Jokers and rainbows from the frag tank to the DT I lost a bit of skirt length when i put them up higher and in a more powerful light, it took mine about 2-3 weeks to light acclimate and get back to normal.

Just wait....it will be back to normal.

Ok cool, I'm going to leave them there for now and I'll update this thread in a week or two and see if they've changed. I took pictures last week so I'll have something to compare to.
