This came from GARF.

"We now practice a continual harvest of Protopallythoa by cutting the tops of the polyps off with a sharp pair of stainless steel scissors. We have colonies of many different colors of Protopallythoa that are managed with the continuous harvests. It is very interesting to note that some Protopallythoa grown much larger polyps from the top of a cut off stock. We have observed many times that the remaining stock heals within one week and then starts to grow a polyp."

Is this for real??

I've read that on GARF also. It's not something I wish to try personaly. I think it could work though.

I did have a torn AOG paly turn into a seperate polyp but I thought it was a fluke. I can't imagine treating a paly like a mushroom. wow.

this works on cheap CHEAP palys.. i have some typical green palys and i actually took scissors to a few heads... cut them off with one snip... they shrunk up, and are now back to full strength and open wide.. the head that i cut off also reattached in the back of the tank... the other one i cant find :)
