This may seem blasphemous, but how do i remove zoo's safely from rockwork? I have three colonies that are very close together, one colony grows faster than any weed ive ever seen. and of course it is the least attractive of the three. therefore i would like to remove (kill as last resort) so that the other zoos will have room to grow. The rock absolutely can not be removed from the tank because there are other corals attached on it and adjacent rocks. If there's a website walkthrough, that would be even better.

Try to peel them off or use a chisel to get under the mat and work it up. Wash your hands afterwards (zoas can be toxic). Some suggest running carbon after in-tank fragging.

A dremmel works nice or a sharp razor to get under them.
