I was wondering if any one knows where i can get sheets of zoanthids with out being mounted to something. I have a 210 reef and want to add zoanthids all the way around the bottom of the rockscape with out adding more rocks to the tank. Ive heard of people ordering zoanthids like this from japan. Ive looked in to ordering from overseas and most places have a crazy minimum order amount(100 kilograms), I dont need that much. Any info would be much apreceated

Live Aquaria-Divers Den has rocks of zoas that are usually around $60 each. Also,if you can find a diver of the gulf or HI who has their appropriate license, they could find some zoas for you.

Woah , don't worry about going to Japan. I've bought some zoas grown in the form you're looking for. There's an awesome store in terre haute, IN called inland aquatics. They could definetly hook you up. If possible make a trip there sometime, they've got EVERYTHING. I'm sure they would work some way out to mail you some stuff.

I bought some fruit loops from this guy, he said he gets them from japan in
5"x5" sheets. Something about its illegal to ship the rock from japan. But he had to buy like 3000 dollars worth.

Yea,it is illegal to take rocks from Japan, which is why most zoas you get that are japanese are just the zoas, with no rock attatched, because it is illegal.

If I were you I would just contact an online store that has a wide variety of zoas and ask them if they could order you a giant sheet of them, that would be the easiest way to get them imo.

Inland Aqu. can get you some big "sheets", they've got some large grow tanks. Blue zoo aquatics made a youtube vid of the store with the owner & you can see what I mean.

Before you give the japanese a stack of cash, call up I.A. & see whats up. I visit the store atleast once a month & know a few guys that work there. They always hook me up.
