zoanthids growing on the sand

I have a bunch of zoo frag on the sand and they seem that they have not really grown much. Can they even grow on sand

ive had single float to the sand and do well

I have all my Zoas in the sand bed they do really well. I have over 50 different zoas and there all doing well down on the sand.

Usualy, zoas will grow as much as they can on what they are on, somtimes bunching up really tight. After this happens, and there is no where else to grow, they should start growing on the sand.

I grow many of mine in the sand, but typically I bury a frag disc or rubble next to them to grow on.
