Zoanthids Toxins and Fish

I have a group of pink Zooanthids in my 29 gallpn tank. A few times an hour they release a milky slim into the tank. I have other zoas in the tank, but these are the only ones I notice doing this.

I have been researching how toxic these corals can be. Latley I have been having problems keeping fish alive in my tank. I'm down to one clown who dosen't look that great right now. Is it safe to assume that the Zoanthids are polluting the water with their toxins?

I also 2 clams, mushrooms, other Zooanthids, frog spawn, star polyps, and all kinds of crabs, and a fire shrimp. They are all doing well.

Any ideas?

TIA

I dont think that zoos can pollute the water and kill fish. I have 5 fish and several hundred zoos along with 2 shrimp, several hermits and snails, star polyps, shrooms galore in a 20 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump and a cheap skimmer.

Have you tested your water lately? what are the parameters?

How old is this tank and whats all in it?

Any update on this issue? I had some zoa slime affect a number of corals when they were fragged and now my sailfin has what looks like a bad case of something eating away its skin right after.
