What kind of ighting is needed for zoas? Im ooking for lighting for a 10 gallon aga and 75 do I need halides will they help? Or power compacts enough?

People have grown them with different lighting schemes. from PC to Halides. I grown them with T5s. zoas also morph a bit due to different lighting schemes to tank water quality and where you place them in the tank from shaded in the bottom to all the way to near the surface.

They'll survive under almost any lights but for me have done better in my main tank at the very bottom in medium flow. I've got 2x 175w MH's. I had some loose polyps end up getting into the sump and they managed to survive and grow into a nice colony before I found them and moved them into the main tank. My sump only has a flourescent strip light over it, lol

That's what I love about zoas; they can handle almost any type of light.

If you get some powerful MH, just know that you *may* end up needing a chiller (to avoid boiling the tank's water).
