What the difference betwen dipping and soaking?
And is it just me or 50/50 look alot ?And for how many time?

Its a 200 heads darth maul colonie i dont want to kill it lol

Some people have success with 50/50 peroxide for algae. I never did. I think it's too strong.
I would recommend peroxide only for algae and maybe some of the bacterial infections. I use only for algae, if so. That's just me.
I think this is the first time I've heard about "always having success with peroxide for pox".
I'm interesting to hear more from uxdesigner as well.

Darth Mauls seem to be "melters" apparently. I posted a similar thread in my local forum, and there have been numerous account of these just melting for no apparent reason. Mine finally melted after looking like crap for a few weeks. I tried dipping in coral rx, never got to try the furan, but that was my next step had they not totally melted. I hope you figure this out, because these are some of my favorite polyps. Best of luck!

None of my darth maul melted, and they are normaly all opened. I just poked them for the picture so we can see the litle pox

Perhaps it's not the pox we're used to see pictures of.
I do believe there are many types of "pox".
They are all bacterial infection and by what many say Furan2 would be the best way to go.
I've never had the usual pox (from picture I've seen) but something similar, less bumpy.
Lugol's didn't work for my case and I didn't have time to treat with Furan2, so I don't know if that would do it for me. Those polyps wasted away.
It could be that on different species of zoas the pox would look different too.
It's nasty!!! So sad.

If yours are open it shouldn't be a big deal, should it?
I believe they close and waste away if it's pox or any major bacterial infection.

I've had marks on my zoas that after a week they were gone and the polyps were open and with normal colors. Even on their disks.
Go figure...

There is not an aquarist in the world that will have a 100% success with zoas in regards to bacterial infection during considerable long periods of time that I know. Sometimes for some reason they decide to attack and we just have to deal with.
Sometimes I've had a "clean tank" for years and when I thought everything was so good the bacteria decided to damage lots and lots of zoas at the same time, from the 2 strongest colonies I considered.
I've seen that in nature too.
Just keep an eye on them and good luck to you!!

So how much do you mix in for Furan2 ?

There is no instructions on the box for zoabox, recently I bought some Furan2 and plan on doing a dip tonight just did not know what dose and for how long?

I am dosing 1 bag of furan 2 for every 250ml of water use to do the dip.( 20mins)
for 6 days

I believe you are saying... Only Furan2 will work.

I bought it online for 10$ including shipping, and plan on using it tonight using 250ml per one packet, and let soak for 20-30mins. The 250ml water will be salt water with my same salt levels, however it will not be tank water.

Thought about doing it over lunch today, but I think I am going to wait until night when the Zoas are closed, perhaps less shock this way. I do like my frag that I have, but I hope that the ZoaPox clears up with Furan2

Average time to clear up? 6days really?

The Zoas that I have ( well one new frag ) has it. However, they still open when the lights turn on and close when the lights turn off is how I noticed the white spots on them.

Hope this helps, will medicate them 2night with 250ml of water i change my tank with, for 20-30mins.

So the spots will just disappear and then I know they are cured?

**Suprized this medicaton works for them** But several other people have said that it works, so I wasted the 15$ on the frag and 10$ on the medication for them.

In my case it worth to pay 10$ for the medication and try ro save them. Try to imagine how many $$ a 200 heads darth maul colonie worth lol
