Couple question
-if ur doing in tank zoa fragging, do you have to do a water change or does the filter handle that?
-any special requirements for acros besides cutting them with a bonecutter?
-what are the necessities for coral fragging you look for in a kit?
Thanks for any response

Your filters handle zoa fragging, and Acros you can frag with a bone cutter. As far as a fragging kit, I'd save the $$$ and just get cuticle cutters from your local drug store (coral shears), superglue from somewhere that doesn't sell it for corals since it'll be cheaper, and frag plugs online.

I use superglue from the dollar store and its the best I've ever used..doesnt make my skimmer go crazy and super fast to dry

Watch out for the play toxin poison. Many people don't think its possible until they get sick or know someone that gets sick. Also I know one guy that killed a lot of corals by removing ugly Pallys from their tank. Frag with care

Zoas and acros

I have scraped Zoas with wire brushes in my SPS tank without issues. I always change carbon when I do this

No link its a friend. He has a 120g tank I'm guessing he pulled maybe 50 or so. But I don't think he scrapped them off. I believe it was tweezers so he was tearing the tissue

The thing is palytoxin is a vasoconstrictor, meaning that it constricts the blood vessels of things that have blood. It's a great defense for something that might eat them like fish, but it's not going have any effect on corals... Chances are your friend got an ammonia spike for killing them off in his tank with tweezers which leaves behind a ton of dead tissue that just rots away.

I just wanted to share my favorite glue for zoas. It is made by Blueline and it is a purple color. I feel that it is a good consistency and reasonably price. I used to buy it at my LFS in PA but I am pretty sure Amazon has it
