I got these frags a couple weeks ago and in the last couple days this particular frag has started fading. It's getting worse and worse every day. Could it be some sort of pest? should I do a dip?

Sorry about the poor picture.

They appear to be fully open. They will usually close if being bothered by a pest. Use a turkey baster and gently blast them with tank water to see if anything is in or around them. Don't be worried when they close up they'll be fine. Check to make sure that the 2 colonies aren't getting different lighting strengths also.

I have 3 of these colonies. These two are at the same level getting the same light, the other is higher up and it doesn't have any problems yet.

Lighting is 150w hqis- 14k... They are at the bottom of a 125 so I don't think it has anything to do with the lighting. (unless it's not enough) All of my other zoa colonies are fine.

I've tried blowing them off, but that's not the problem. I first noticed it after I feed them DT's Oyster eggs.

My guess, don't feed those oyster eggs again.;)

Do you have a full tank shot?

It could be anything.

Can you list your equipment and other pertinent info?

Bring the salinity down a bit.
What's your alk?
Try no to do too much to them before you have a better idea why it's happeneing.

normally, if I can't figure out what's going on right away.. I just do a 15%-20% water change and my zoas seem to come back after..

good luck.. hate to lose any zoas..
