Zoas in a copepod tank

Would it be a bad idea to add zoas to my 10G opepods tank? I have 4~5 pounds live rock and Im going to pick up some macros and a bottle of pods. Im trying to cultutre the pods for my seahorses. Do the zoas eat copepods??? If they do since they're photosynthetic would it counteract my pod production too much?

the alleged zoo-eaters are amphipods, not copepods. though any tank that caters to copepods will probably also have it's fair share of amphipods too.

you will have more than enough copepods come in on the rock and macro. the bottle will be a waste of money.

Im starting to see that already but I wasnt sure. The horses I have a dwarf seahorses so I was going to get a bottle of a smaller species. I guess it probably doesnt matter though because there's already other species in already right?

Your not going to feed them on just copepods are you? The best thing for them to eat would be baby brine shrimp. I've heard that's ALL they eat. But not sure. Good luck.:)

Actually its the other way around... copepods have more nutrients and are closer to or even are in some cases the natural food. Bbs aren't really nutritional enough on their own... they need to be enriched and even then they aren't as good as copepods.

Brine shrimp are basically worthless as far as nutrition goes. It would be like us trying to survive on only potato chips. Not gonna happen.
