Zoas Missing!?!?

So i bought a bunch of frags from different places and frags my friend gave me. They all opened up within a course of an hour and everything seemed fine. Today (The third day i've had them) one of my frags was wiped clean. Do hermit crabs or peppermint shrimp affect Zoas? I've seen my crabs try to go at my zoas and just have them start twitching from the toxins. Any ideas on what could have done this!?

What other animals do you have in the tank? Could be a predator hitch hiker problem. but hermit crabs can eat or loosen zoanthids up.

2 rods onyx, 1 purple firefish, 30 hermit, 30ish aistias...the slug ones...and 40 snails, a starfish, and one peppermint shrimp.

I found one of the tubes to the zoa that went off the rock, and it was just floating around till it got stuck onto my tunzi, is there anything i can do with it to help it grow back?

GLue it down to a small rock using super glue gel.

Glue it onto a rock. Freshly fragged/glued zoas have a good chance of blowing off their frag, with enough flow.

I can't tell which ones the polyp side...one sides looks like it opens, but the other side is the one squiring the toxins...looks the same both sides with its tightly shut...

Try putting it in a small container with rubble, cover the top in veil. Give it a day or two to open up, then you can see which end is which.
