Zoas not opening all the way, but reproducing

Hey all,

I have some Rasta Zoas that arent opening all the way, but have reproduced like mad. Went from 9 polyps to like 16 in a month. Any idea whats doin? I have some blue hornets that are doing the same thing. Other zoas are open just fine...

All parama are normal

Alk 9
Calcium 400ish
Salinity 1.025
Mag 1400
Temp has been a bit low at 74 but i have put heaters in and now the tank is at 79

I used to have Z's and P's close up when they're about to bud new polyps. but not always.

Try to position them lower in the tank. It might be too bright for them, work for me on some other zoas i had

Ill give it a shot, but they have been in nthe spot a long time

Some of my Rastas and darth mauls have been doing the same thing for about 5 months now. I've dipped and moved them both all around. But still stay half open and keep growing good.

Yeh same thing here...not 5 months tho....wonder what it is?

How much flow is on them? That was my culprit for my rasta colony. Try chemiclean if that's not it does wonders.

Quick update. Dropped all the problem zoas to the bottom and all have responded well by opening. My question is why? They were all in the same spot for a long time and my ati bulbs are about 7 months old and need to be changed soon...Thoughts?
