I think polyps on the glass or an overflow box is great, truly unique I think. They look great reefman23.
There's only one drawback though and it only applies if you have an overflow with a siphon hole. If a single polyp, ( or anything for that matter), breaks away and is sucked into your overflow box and then gets stuck in your siphon hole, (which is usually connected to a pump to maintain the siphon), then your siphon will cease and you could possibly overflow your tank with water. The return pump will continue to send water from your sump/fug into your tank, since the siphon has been broken by the plugged hole with a polyp or anything for that matter, the tank will continue to fill with no where to send the water but over the tank rim and onto the floor. Having a flexible grate/strainer over the overflow box inlet, greatly reduces the chances of this happening, but it can occur.
BTW, does he have PC's on that tank?
That's some crazy growth for sure, 2 thumbs up.
