Zoas Prop Tank How long should I wait?

I have new 120 Prop Zoas tank. I put a few frags in to see how they would do. Some look good some closed up and looking thin. How long do you think I should wait? My Zoas are crazy in my other 2 tanks. All level are perfect tank has been up for 10 days just added fish last night. Took live sand and rock from other tanks for the Fuge.

watch your levels and normal activity. just because one set is good doesn't mean they all will.

I check them all. All looking good. Ak, Cal, PH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Amm.

I did not check the Mag but it is a new tank with new salt.

did you use any water from your other system? When setting up a new tank I try to use 50% "old" water. I have even begged friends for water from their systems if I didnt have enough!!!!

No, I did not do that. Now looking back I should of did that. I think Zoas need dirty water meaning not perfect as new water. OLD water. You guys think I should turn off the skimmer?

I would turn it off..... Let stuff build up for a while....but that is just my opinion

What type of filtration do you have?

Live sand, Live rock, etc..

then you need to wait a few more weeks levels haven't peeked yet, patience is a virtue with sw tanks.

I have a G3 skimmer. I have a 30 Gal fuge with live rock and sand from the main system.

reguardless of what you do or dont have be patient.

if you took live rock from you main tank i don't think you will have any cycle, so i think you are good to go.

Ok, I did a 10% water chance and added water from my other tank. I do have the skimmer still on light green right now.
