Zoo eating spider

I found a zoo eating spider on a frag I got from a LFS store Friday. They opened up On Saturday, Sunday they were closed up.I had to cut the frag into 3 with a about 3 poylps each so I could remove the pest. How long will it take for my zoo frags to open? I removed the pest last night

time probably varies but since they're pretty stressed from the move, the pest, and the cuts, it would probably take a little longer than normal. just leave them alone and they should open up soon

Just do more inspections of the polyps and surrounding areas for more spiders and eggs.

I looked, no more spider cause a ripped the frag in three pieces, so there is no way there are more spiders. I used a magnifing glass and inspected, didnt see anything tht looked like eggs. The frag was on very fine rubble which made it very easy to inspect and break up.

I have them in my sump under a 70watt light.

I meant in the incoming weeks... some my have roamed around the tank or eggs could have floated off.. you'll never know. Just letting you know to be proactive than start finding more polyps dead in a couple months to only find out you missed some spiders during the first encounter.
