I have a few frags in my tank on frag plugs, it seems as if evey night my turbo snals flipover my frag plugs so eather they r on the side of completly upside down. I really don't wanna make alittle rack considering its a 14gal biocube and I think it will really stand out.
Any suggestions as to keeping them from flipping them...?

I really love zoos but never get to enjoy them like the ones on RC considering they don't open fully dude to them getting moved every night..

Also I would immagin this would limit growth, am I right??

Any little frag racks that don't look bad if u have a pic please post.

i would suggest not keeping a turbo in a 14...they get huge! i wont even keep them in my 50 gallon..i would take out the turbo and replace it with smaller cerith, nass,or trochus snails...

what i do when i can is take the frags off of the plugs, and glue them to rocks...most zoas wont grow in the sand so to really get them to take off glue them to the rock work...

hope that helps

+1 Turbos are bulldozers. Ceriths / Nerites (closed top) would be better in a smaller tank. If it is not firmly placed, the Turbo or even a larger Astrea will move them.

yeah nerites are dum dums, they will climb right over an open top tank...lol

i have ceith, nass, and trochus in an open top, they are alot brighter :)

i would replace them with any of the listed:
trochus
nass
ceriths

i would get 2 trochus,6 nass, and 6 ceriths... the nass and ceriths will take care of the sand, and the trochus will take care of the glass and rocks ;)

hope that helps

i used to have a giant turbo in my 29 that knocked everything over or shifted rocks, i just gave it to the lfs. they also let me trade my large astrea snails once they got too big for some smaller ones.

I also would recommend removing the zoas and placing on the rock work, or breaking off the stem of the frag plug and gluing the entire plug top to the rock work. In some rare cases, where I want the plug intact, I've superglued the stem onto the rockwork as well. Or if possible, find a hole in your LR and place the stem into the hole. Also agree with changing out the snails.

Ok thanks for the help guys ill do that as soon as posible, how would I go about removing the zoos and getting them on the live rock, just cut and glue?
