yesterday, i bought some blue zoo frags. I wanted to know what is the way to cut them off and plant them on a larger piece of LR?I have done it with shrooms and the mesh before but never with zoos.

you can just glue the disc or plug they came on to a new rock. if not plug or disc you can glue them right to a rock.

Cut the entire mat off the existing rock with a scapel/exacto knife and lay it on a bead of super glue gel on the new rock. Dip that rock a couple times in salt water to help the glue set up. Then dip the new zoa rock in an iodine dip to help them heal their wounds.

If you have one and are good with it, you can dremel a thin layer of rock under the zoas and glue that to the new rock. That's less stressful to the zoanthids but more difficult.

i would glue it on a small rock then glue that rock to the big one,

use any crazy glue but make sure you use the gel type.

i'd say just putting the frag onto a larger rock and letting them grow out

If you cut off or remove from rock and a lot of tissue is exposed let heal for 2 to 3 days before glueing.
