hi i have a 90 gal and need new lights too get away from my getto system. yhinking of going either 2x250 like i have now no actinics or, two x175 hqi with two 95 watt pcs actinic around the same wattage wich would you chose and why keep softies zoos and lps mostly zoos. thanx guys tank is 24 inches deep

I got 2x250w MH's in a 24" deep tank.I kinda wish I had actinics though since my canopy is kinda small.

If the options are MH alone vs. MH+PC's I would vote for MH alone. However if MH+VHO was an option that's the one I could choose. IMO, pc's can't compare to vho for actinic purposes. I personally like the look of a nice crisp white 10K XM bulb with some URI Super actinics.. But that's just me.
