Same here. I had one on a 55 gallon tank.. thought perhaps soaking it in vinegar every few weeks would help to clean it and keep it rotating, but after 4 months the sweeper on it died.
I guess I fit into the "i'm using it to mix my saltwater" club now.
Its a piece of garbage IMO.
