Zoos Dieing

About 2 months ago I went from a 100gal to a 210gal.

In my old Tank My Zoos were doing awesome. In fact that is why I went to a bigger tank because they had nowhere else to go.

I have the same lighting. Same parameters, in my new tank but they are all dieing off (except for some pinks)
All of my other coral is doing fine.

Any Ideas? Thanks

List your params.
Do you have a friend with a healthy zoa tank?

If you haven't added any zoas in a long while and introduced a predator into your tank, then see if you can rent some space in your friends tank until you figure this out.

Check ph (day and night), salinity, temp fluctuations, alk level, calcium level. Use poly filter pads, Carbon (sparingly) and maybe water changes.

Is there anything new in this tank that wasn't in the other? Besides the extra glass and water.

How much of the 100 gallons of water from the old tank, which would be 60 to 80 gallons of water depending on how it was stocked with live rock, to the new 210?

Is the depth on the 100 a lot less than the 210?

You said you used the same lighting, but you more than doubled your water volume. How much was depth increased with the new tank?

I agree with Reef Junkie here, "Check ph (day and night), salinity, temp fluctuations, alk level, calcium level. Use poly filter pads, Carbon (sparingly) and maybe water changes. "

Are you running a fug?

Is it on a reverse photoperiod opposite to that of your tank lights?

Did you add anything new to the 210 that didn't come from the 100? Including live rock, new zoas etc?

Can you list all of your parameters?

Where is the new tank placed?

When you say die off, can you describe exactly what you mean? I know it sounds stupid to ask, but we all describe die off differently. If you have a pic, that would help also. I'm sure someone will have an answer for you.

What additives are you using?

Can you think of anything, anything that's different from the 100 that you had?

Sorry for the ton of questions

Mucho

Are they all dying off or is it just one grouping that has grown together. Check for aptasia, obviously. Is it only zoa's in there? Could possibly be some coral warfare going on. Lighting most likely wouldn't kill the coral since zoa's can live in ANY lighting conditions. In their natural habitats they'll grow over AND UNDER rocks where they get no light. My guess is that if you added new live rock you've got a predatory hitchhiker. Just my.02. Might want to give the remaining to a friend under you can figure it out.

Wow!!!

Thanks for all the replies guys!

My son has a 90gal where I am keeping a good bunch of each color.

I do have a fuge which I keep lighted 24hrs.

The tank is just longer not deeper.

Ph- 7.8
No3- 5ppm
Sal.- 1.021

Thanks again guys

Did yo ever solve the problem? I just moved my tank to school and all of the sudden my largest colony of zoos is dying off. Everything else is doing fine, even the more delicate corals. Maybe we have a similar issue?

No I haven't All of my other corals are doing fine.

Just my smaller polyped Zoos are dieng

My pinks and greens are ok

Darn. I dont mind if I loose one colony, but I'm worried that it my spread in my small tank, or if the dying zoos will pollute the water too much.
