I was out snorkeling this morning and decided to snap a few zoo pictures. One of the places I frequent has an abundance of zoos. Saw a lot of pinks today, but there are all the colors you can imagine.
Most of the zoos I see are shallow. The pinks are 5 feet to 15 feet deep. Most of the other colors were too shallow to get to today. The small waves would have bounced me off the reef. During low tide most of the zoos here are in about 2 feet of water.
does anyone around these zoo forumns have some of those deep deep green ones...i think you know which ones i am talking about...those are absolutely stunning
Were some of those back in caves in lower lit areas?? Really looks like it!
Also, with all that growth in and around the rocks it seems like that is a very high nutrient area of water.
I just bought my first zoa's ever the other day...I am an Acropora nut..some pinks and i would love to have some more to put in under the ledges in my tank....especially those greens pictured above.
That is very nice work!! Must be nice to have a reef right at your doorstep....I am jealous.
Wow that is Awsome..... Leave them in the Wild... Enough people destroy reefs... If areas are not left alone it will all disappear and then are children will have none...
Very nice!
So is the water very turbulent where the zoos were?
2 feet deep you say, interesting. I'm guessing there might be some tide pools no? Any zoos in there ever?
