Zoos in Nature, Where?

I'm searching for more zoos in the wild and I'm wondering if anybody has any advice about where to look. I live in Okinawa and have found a few places where the zoos thrive, I mean every place you look there are zoos. In the two places I can snorkel and see them, the zoos are close to runoff areas and can be as shallow as a few feet during low tide. There are zoos deeper also, but they start shallow and seem to be as deep as 15 feet or so. Any ideas for terrain or land features I should be looking for?

Here's a few pics that I've posted before:

Any advice would be appreciated!

I went snorkeling last summer in maui right off the beach shore. Their were many small reefs only 10 or 15 feet out. I found a huge colony of pink zoos almost like those and some nice blue zoos.

I found that they were closer to shore in high current area, most of the time that I found them I was worried about bashing into the rocks because of the high current in the water. To me they also seem to be found growing vertical on the edge of the reefs.

I've seen the same pattern here in Okinawa. The pinks are on the drops from 5 feet to 15 feet, but the large majority are in 2 to 3 feet of water right where the water is churning. The strange thing is there are a lot of places that fit that bill, but are completely zoo free.

It's illegal to harvest unless you have a commercial license. Some of the shops here frag them and sell them really cheap. 30 polyps for $10 to $30.

Yeah, it really sucks how its illegal to take some, even just if its a couple of frags. I wanted to tak a frag of that huge colony of pink zoos, it was so awesome looking.

Yeah, mostly where the water was churning is where I found them. Another thing is that alot of the times I found them they were in small colonies of like only 30-40 polyps, its really more of just having an acute eye for the zoos.

Yeah, I guess it is a good thing that it is illegal, because if it wasn't then they would be totally depleted.
