Zoo's on sand

Will zoos palys only grow on rock, plugs, or dead coral or will they also spread on the sand?

Yes, It is an easy way to grow them and then as they grow a mat you can frag and mount. This is a great way to frag them. The only issue can be sand sifting starfish and large snails. They move them aroundand turn them upside down. just watch them.
