zooxanthellae transplanet

Once a RBTA always a RBTA.

You can not change the type just from changing cells inside it. If that was true you would see it everywhere and they would be trying it with humans.

worm, are you sure about that ?

it has been reported to happen. coral Grafting or something.

of course I dont think a simple injection would do ... but might be possible ? really not sure.

will try to find links.... we have seen it with SPS corals ... taking color pigments from a neighbouring colonies ...

Anemones might or might not reject different color pigments ... we have all seen RBTA with green base !

Zooxanthellae are a symbiotic algae that live inside the anemone, and do not determine the external color of the anemone. The zooxanthellae are responsible for the brown/purple color inside a healthy anemone, but nothing more.

While we have also seen it in polyps. But that is mutation/evolution/gene pool.

Two anemones getting together and spawning would give you the results that you are looking for. Not just from Zooxanthellae transplant. Much more involved.
