Zoro the arc-eye hawk is up for grabs

It took 3 days to catch him, even with Nicholas' fish trap, it wasn't easy. (Hey Nicholas, let me know when you're in the city, so I can return it to you.) Bottom line, this guy has gotten somewhat aggressive. He hasn't eaten any shrimp or other crustaceans *yet*, but hawkfish are known to. He was just "divebombing" the other fish if they ventured into his territory, which, apparently, was the whole tank (a cube-like 50). The upside is that he is incredibly cool looking and has an amazing personality. He's always giving me "the eye" (but now he's in the sump giving me the stink-eye). He eats pretty much everything.

Trade, sale, or? Looking for small peaceful fish or soft corals.

Zoro's coloration is darker than the first picture shows and more like the 2nd pic. He does have crazy blue eyes when the light hits him though.

If no one wants Zoro he will be returned to the fish store to meet a most likely ill fate. Zoro was well behaved in my 100 gallon tank, but the 50 is too small. I think he would do well in a large tank with bold species and no shrimp (although he hasn't eaten any of mine). He can definitely hold his own with larger more assertive fish. I will give Zoro to the right home.

i'd trade for that nice fish but seems like we're too far apart. Let me know if you ever near the San Jose area.

he is an awesome looking fish, and I personally love hawkfish, but we love our shrimp a bit too much :(. Hopefully you will find him a good home !!

I can't believe that no one wants this guy. If not for our shrimp I would definitely be giving him a good home.

Hi Alan,
I think Zoro's new home is more than adequate. ;) For those of you who haven't seen Alan's tank, it's really gorgeous and has a massive, and I mean massive, frogspawn - must be 2 feet across. The tank has a lot of color and movement. Thanks sooo much for giving me such generously sized pieces of coral to play with. I've got everything acclimated and placed in the tank and they're already looking great. I'll let you know how the spumosa (sp?) does, fingers crossed.
Take care!
