'07 Regional Club Frag Swap in Dixon- Guidelines & Bonus Round Consideration

I got the little glad 1/2 cup tubs at wal-mart for like $2.50 an 8 pack. that is still a good $30 bucks worth if you truely need 100 of them, but quite a bit cheaper then the 4 packs.
But honestly if you are going to bring that many, you might want to ask a LFS to buy a bunch of the small bags from them and just double bag them. Not as nice but nobody is going to complain especially if you go all out like that.
Or you might check a local $1 store and see if they have anything.

I might have to go that route, but I am hoping I can find some sort of plastic containers with lids that would work. I know they have to sell stuff like that somewhere.

Thanx for the compliment. I still have the big ole Yuma I got from you thru Steve. He has split out two little ones so far.

And I like the grocery store idea. I will have to give that one a try. Anyone have an idea what sort of places would sell packaging materials like a grocery store deli would use?

From what I understand Cost Plus has the restaurant style to go plastic containers with lids in a 40 pack or some thing of that nature. I can't confirm as I have not actually checked it out but I read that on RC before a BAR swap.

I fraged cali tort, tyree green polyp toadstool, tyree bali tricolor, le efflo and ponape birdnest. Let me know if any of them make the list.

Thanks

Smart and Final! They had plenty. Even a couple different sizes.

Thats great! I just hope you take something home to make up for your great generosity.

I would say the bali tricolor and le efflo is right up our alley of pieces for this qualification. Karl had also said the ponanpe birdsnest was good as well. the cali tort and toadstool are great additions to the swap as well. ;)

This going to be cool, as the new guy I'm always worried about screwing something up but this event is going to be an eye full. I haven't meet you yet Pam but "Thank you!"

What is everyone putting on their labels again? a picture, common name, scientific name, lighting/placement, and my handle? Am I missing anything?

here is a sample of what one of my tags will look like.

All of that information would be great, but it's unrealistic to expect everyone to be able to fit all of that, considering the variations of containers.

The two most important are the frag's hobby or scientific name, and the contributers contact information (RC handle or email address). That way, you can directly refer to them for any questions, like conditions, care requirements, or lineage (a good collector can trace their piece all the way back to even the originator).
