1.023 to 1.024?

Quick question. My skimmer went crazy overnight and filled the collection cup and overflow cup creating a minor flood within my stand. Prior to this incident I was stable at 1.024 but now I am at 1.023 - probably not a huge deal but if I wanted to raise the sg back to 1.024 could I do my next water change with say 1.026? I have a 140 gallon cub with a sump - total water volume is around 180 gallons.

It is generally considered safe to adjust up sg by up to .002 per 24 hours.

You can reduce sg a bit faster but always go slow when increasing as that is more difficult on the fish.

I find it's easiest to just use saltwater to replenish evaporation for a while.

I use evaporation, I drop the sensor for my ATO a little till I get my sg back where I want it then next wc just fill the sump to where I want and readjust my sensor. Any of the things suggested work fine.

This minor change is nothing. Either let some water evaporate or like ya said...add at 1.026 ish.
