i would have to say he is atleast close to 2 feet all stretched out
and has never hurt anyone, i put a piece of shrimp on a stick and put it in the water 5 min later here he comes sometimes i have to tease him and keep moving it away if people wanna see him,
them are old pics,, so i just ordered a canon a620 camera with 1 cm macro so ill take more pics soon

I've got a few in my tank similar but not quite as big and man EVERY time I see them it gives me the HEE-BEE-GEE-BEES!!! :eek:

True, and they're much prettier too when they're alive but unfortunately it's hard to study squirmin' wormies.
 
:lol: Worms are cool. I have at least 3 of these guys. I've seen them across the width of the tank, so they are at least 18"

I'm not real sure what kind it is. A big one, I tried to catch one to send to Dr. Ron, but never could.
 
Debi, I hope you like your worms better than you like your clams & snails. It's a beauty but it's the mollusc predator Oenone fulgida. If you've ever found molluscs dead, partially eaten, and covered with slime this fellow's to blame.
 
Don't have any clams, it does eat pellets also. Ron was thinking it was something he's not familiar with, because of the shovel/scoop mouth. They've been in there for 5 1/2 years.
 
Well she definately gets a closer look at them than we all do. :D

I remember seeing your photos before Debi. They're really good shots. The greenish color on one is a bit unusual and it looks like the proboscis is a bit extended out of the mouth on that same one but otherwise it's a standard O. fulgida. They can and obviously are eating other things besides mollucs. I think it's great that you've made pets out of them instead of trying to flush them! :thumbsup:
 
Worms are cool, they are fascinating to watch. Luckily I"m never planning on clams. And well, snails no free lunches I guess.
