1 more sps question

ok so i ordered my 2 150 halides with hos for my 60 and then i read it wont be enough for sps. Reoredering lights. I need to know if this is enough for SPS yes SPS. So should i get the same outer orbit in the 250 watt or the aquamedic 2 250 13 k and 1 150 20k. WILL THIS BE ENOUGH FOR SPS.

You should be fine with that. What are the dimensions on the 60 gal? Are the 150's HQI?

My thought is that 2 250's may be pushing it on that tank. A lot of people go big on their lights and don't really need to.
 
Who told you 150mh is not enough? I agree with Tang Salad, sps will do fine with 150watt mh. It the par of the bulb that you should concern yourself with.
 
i agree i have a standard 75 gallon bb with 2 250 watt SE hamilton 14 k and i think it might be a little 2 much. i think u should be finewith the 150 especially on a tank that shallow IMO.
 
I have a 6' tank and on each end I have a DE 150 watt and in the middle section I use a 250 watt DE. My growth under the 150's is as good and in some cases better under the 150's. The 150's are XDE 10k's and the single 250 is a Ushio 10K, all are on ARO electronic ballasts. You will be more than fine with a pair of 150's. I noticed better color and growth on some acro's under the 150's.
