Picked up a 20 long for $20!

Funny thing is, our petco always stocks 40 breeders, but "didn't have any" today. I smell something in the air, and it's not flowers.

my LFS sells saltwater for 50 cents a gal, same for RO/DI water.

but i personaly make my own water, its much better that way.

Take your receipt back during the sale and they may give you a store credit for the differance. My wife does stuff like that occasionally, especially around Xmas.

They wont.

The store card they have you can fill out the app for it and have it in 10 minutes.

They also sell the 160 gallon bucket of Reef Crystals for like $41. You need to have the pals card but its free and takes 30 seconds to get one. Only problem is they only seem to stock one bucket in the whole store so its hit or miss if they have one or not. Just call ahead.

Won't they take raincheck or special order in if you want like 20 pails? I know petsmart will do that if you talk to their fishroom manager.

Petsmart has got it goin on for salt at the moment.

160g salt mix for 38.99 from Instant Ocean with their card.

yeah i work at the one here in sherman, tx, and grabbed a 20L as a QT for the 90g setup im getting here soon. they wouldnt let me use my employee discount on it lol i guess thats reasonable though considering how cheap they are. i think im actually going to go back and get a 10 as my QT and keep the 20L for a nano to set up a few months down the road. also someone came in this morning first thing and took every single 40B and 55 we had, then drove down to the mckinney store and did the same thing haha.

Yes, Petco does do rainchecks for just such occasions.

Got my morning newspaper and PETCO is again having their $1 per gallon sale and I was in the market for 2 new quarantine tanks for my reefsystem so I went down to the Hurst, Texas store to see what they had as the last time they ran this event the tank selection was poor. I was amazed to find out (probably should have read the ad) the event included the 10G, 20L and 20H, 29G, 40 breeder for you reptile geeks and the 55G. Although the 40 and 55 tanks are tempered bottom so no drilling. The store had tons of tanks in stock. I bought 2 20L and loaded up on Spectrum food.

Actually 40 breeders do not have a tempered bottom.

So glad to know haha, picked up a 40b along with 55(probably going to return this) 29, 20L and 20H, but using the 40b as my DT so gonna need that drilled

I wonder if I can rain check order like half a dozen just for coral propagation. I think 40G breeder normally is almost $90.
