We are planning a big meeting to commemorate the birth of our club 1 year ago on Sunday March 27 between 3 & 6. The meeting will be @ my house where our first meeting took place a year ago. Back then I was the caretaker of a 65g reef and this time around I'll have my 150g cube on display. We are planning a big raffle having doubled our usual raffle budget. We have all sorts of goodies that will be available as door prizes. A DIY workshop on building your own screen tank cover will be presented along with a reef supplement primer from Bill. (Tanks A Lot)

We will have club memberships, t-shirts, coral frags all for sale so bring some cash.

Did I mention food! My wife's famous deviled eggs and all kinds of other delectable concoctions. I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention something here so check back often for updates.

A FaceBook event has been created so head there to RSVP. The address to my house is 2308 SW 20th CT, Ocala 34471. Directions and maps are available @ Tanks A Lot. The meeting is opened to the public so please spread the word.

Several updates to share with you about this month's meeting:

It looks like we will have well over $400 worth of items in our Raffle including. A Coral Reef Blu-Ray movie, hundreds of dollars worth of Dr.Tim's supplements, Tanks A Lot gift certificates, tickets to the Southeastern Reef Conference in Orlando, some very nice coral frags and a custom built aquarium screen top cover. (180g tank or smaller) I will let you know about other items up for raffle as I get more details from our Raffle-master (Our VP, Jeff) details.

Dr.Tim's also donated about 10 bottles of their 4oz supplements, each retails for around $10 and those will be given out as door prices.
As I mentioned before, there will be frags for sale by individuals at the meeting. If you have some frags you want to sell, please let me know in advance and send me some pictures of the frags or mother colony. I will be making a handout to give to attendees of the meeting so that they can better figure out what they are buying. Note that the club offers this opportunity free of charge and each individual is responsible for their own sale transactions. I will provide a 20 gallon long tank with a small pump, and new/aged saltwater and lighting to properly house and display your frags. Again, please let me know in advance if you will be participating in the frag sale.

Mike, our treasurer, is working on getting us some MORE t-shirts to purchase at the meeting and I will let you know if this becomes a reality. If you are attending the meeting, do bring some cash so you can buy corals, t-shirts & memberships. At this point cash if our only mode of operation.

Please take a moment and follow this link to RSVP to the event (Facebook account required). If you don’t have a Facebook account please RSVP right here so that we can better plan for the # attending this month.
