1 year to the day 90 gallon sps reef. Lots o pics

Well I guess there is this guy (actually I saw a picture of him at Macna this year) I don't know but evidently he's the one that had it first. I think its a Valida or Plana I'm not sure which.. Basically kindof golden color branch with Violet/Blue tips.. Grows like a weed and virtually indestructible actually my first sps. It's came back from some pretty major catastophes :)

Well I guess I should say MOST were very small frags. :) For instance the green milli was about 3" when I got it. I'd say about 80 % were small frags. Oh and the Stylo was about 3" and the Blue tip stag.

ok gotcha .... well i have a "valida" type acro that fits the description of that but it was aquacultured so it cant be from him but looks exactly like that it has some intense royal blue/purple branches that look like they are almost glowing! and this thing has almost died twice on me but has come back and now is a nice sized colony

anyways nice pieces! and thanks for the 411

:) Actually this isn't my first attempt at a reef. I had one back home in Indy then I decided to take what I learned from the first and when I moved to Tampa decided to do it a little better. The first reef I had PC's at first, 3 big ole Powerhead 802s that always fell off the glass, a crappy skimmer (but i paid a fortune for it!!!), hang over the back overflow, tapwater topoff etc... Needless to say I'm having better luck the second time around so far.

I haven't seen you posting for a while Lunch, last post I remember seeing is you were having a few problems with your reef. How's things going for you now?

Take care,
Chris
