10% off!!! Wahooo!!

is this the deal you were referring to when you mentioned there'd be a deal for those who don't currently own a system? I remember reading this when the ugrade from the PII to PIII ended.

I am just working the nickles and dimes out with the dealers and then i will announce something possibly as early as this afternoon but latets Monday.

you only need this if wanting to run more than two simu's off of one port.

I have none over here now but if you want one say now and i will get added for shipment leaving on the 8th

I have 4 spots split between 2 ports. They can't run at 100% this way. The active splitter sounds like the answer to my situation. Yes I would love to get one.

Ok I will get them on the website on pre order for you, once i have had confirmation from GHL I can get them in before Christmas, I will pm you when I know.

It will be on the first order in January, I can not add more stuff to this order coming in too short notice sorry.

Don't have the time to research this in detail at the moment, so I'll ask here:

I have a Profilux II Plus with all the bells and whistles. Bought it last year. I'm about a month away from getting my reef up and running and lighting is my last project. Since I bought the unit, I had intended on running 3x 250W MH + 4 dimmable 60" T5's. I'd like to purchase the ballasts and dimming equipment now. I plan to use 4x 80W dimmable Advance Mark 10 ballasts controlled by two dimmable powerbar's.

* Are the Profilux 2 Dim Powerbar's the only option or is there a better option?

* Does Profilux 3 offer any advantages over the P2 regarding dimmable control?

* Where can I purchase the ballasts stateside? I recall one place in Canada, but nothing stateside.

Thanks.

If using 80w dimmable Mark 10 ballasts then yes the power bar 2 dim is your only option, 80w ballasts also only control 1 tube per ballast

The profilux plus II has been developed ahead of the P3 for dimming control and as such the Plus II and P3 share all the same unique dimming options the only difference will be in software functionality available.

Best do a google search for Philips advance mark 10 ballasts.

Thanks. I do plan to get 4 of the balasts to run my 4 80W T5's.

As far as the ballasts - Google doesn't give me much so I'll just contact Phillip's directly. By the way, I said Mark 10, but I believe they are Mark 7.

Mark 7 is 1-10V controllable but as far as i am aware only available in 54w

mark 10 is AC dimmable and available in 24w and 54w and (80w I think)

Thanks - I confused them for a minute...

I've found Mark 7's in 1x80W, but the input voltage is 277 Volts?? Strange. See here...

http://www.1000bulbs.com/images/PDF/Mark7-0-10V-brochure.pdf

I've found Mark 10's in 2x54W (REZ-2S54), but not 1x80W so I suspect that maybe this ballast can be configured for 1x80W?

I seem to recall something about special end caps. I have Icecap T5 endcaps. Are these compatible or not? If not, what do I need and where can I get them?

Yep as I said you are limtyed to 24w or 54 in Mark 10 ac dimmable for 110V

And only 54w for mark 7 1-10V dimmable in 110V

I know someone that has connected the two outlets of a 54w to drive 1 x 80w tube but naturally I am not going to advise anyone does this a the units are not safety tested to be used in this manner.
