100 Gal Lighting

Hello,

I have a 100 Gal Tank -72" long x 18" wide x 16" deep with (2) 36" Zoo Med Reef Sun 50/50 in one light strip and (1) 24" Coralife Actinic Blue Lamp in its own small light strip centered on the tank, They are all T-8's.

I am wanting to get into Corals, Acropora in perticular. Do I have enough PAR for them? Is there a way to find out your PAR without a meter?

Does anyone have the same setup?

I will be changing this out to LED in the future and am still trying to figure out if building my own would be cheaper.

T8s will not provide enough light for SPS. There is no need for a meter to know that.

As for LEDs, do your research. Lots of pros and cons to them.
