Can you post a picture of inside of canopy?

Sorry for all the questions, contemplating gradually swapping out my 6 T-5's

Thanks

Cool setup jess...
how tall is that 120? i have a 12" high shallow and thinking about doing the same... but i think 3-4 strips should be enuff for me. I'm waiting for the new brackets to be released.

thats a 24" deep tank and i have good growth with some lps and zoas on sand bed

Where can you buy these lights from?

i bought mine from robert and cerissa at neptunes in milpitas

Looks good. Any corals look like they had trouble with the switch to LED? I went to LED a a couplemonths ago, and then also had to go out of town a couple times shortly after. Someone fed the tank for me, when I get back, lots of LPS/SPS were not happy. I'm wondering if something happened with the lighting or the person feeding my tank got something into it... Keep us posted on your growth.

I am lovin' the look of the LED and the shimmer.

leds grow sps great, PAR38's led spots are all i use on my 200G DD and they are working out great, granted i ordered 4 custom bulbs with 4 cool blue and 1 neutral white led, this IMO is nesscessary if you are wanting to keep sps colors

Royal blue and cool white won't keep 100% of sps colors vibrant, the cool blue is too yellow/white and cause's things to dull or brown, though the corals will still grow color will be off to some extent, out of 20 acro's atleast 5will lose color or fade

noticing the effect of the standard Cool white/Royal blue options i instead wanted to add 2 different spectrums, thus cool blue and neutral white is what i cam up with, i've noticed a great improvement in sps color with these bulbs in the short 2 weeks they've been over my tank, i'll have new pics up in 3-4 weeks showing the color improvement

the reefbrite blue leds are a mix or happy medium in the blue rnage....

as far as sps i got three frags about 3-4 days ago and they were completely white and now they have started color up already so i feel sps will grow just fine in this setup.

i am very pleased and will push LEDs for now on even as a main light source

You used a neutrals? Holy smoke somebody might be listening to me :-) Because a couple of fanboys over at nano-reef have a thing for cool-whites doesn't mean everybody else has to use cool-whites. Also, Evil won't listen to me when I told him to switch to neutrals because too many people have already invested in cool-whites and there will be a lynching in the DIY community - not my problem.

Cool-white LEDs have a strong green spectrum that doesn't have much benefit in a reef tank other than to murder other colors that are the compliment (purple / magenta / red) turning those colors visually brown or grey. Don't see many reefers using cool-white CFLs, and cool-white LEDs have a similiar spectrum.

Increasing the ratio of RBs and using neutral or even high CCT warms fixes the problem as you've seen. I've tried it over my tank and confirmed it at the local reef shop on their SPS tanks. You don't need UV.
