Can anyone give me the scoop on lighting. I was going to go with ecotech radions. However, I really was impressed with the Kessel cannons. Are these controllable with the apex controller like the Radions? I want to be able to adjust the lights from the web. I know you can hook up all the Radions together. What about the Kessel?
Peter- can you do the funky colors with the kessil or just the blue and natural light only?
I think you will probably need 10 lights, almost no matter what you use, if you want a reef.
Some of this depends on whether you want to light for corals or just provide coverage for your fish. If you just want coverage for the fish, you could cut back significantly.
Running 4 A360WEs on our 130x29x31" tank. Would need two more at least.
So 10-12 is a good guess.
For the record I really like the Kessil I have on my nano tank, it has a beautiful "shimmer" to it that I love. As you said the Radions and Hydra's have more different color spectrum to them.....I'm going back and forth on this now as well.
This is going to sound silly but when I have a St. Patricks day party at my house- I want a green tank. When its Valentines day- Ill have a red tank. Christmas- red and green.

Its gimicky- I know. but when you have a bunch of people around for a party- let the tank create a festive mood.
Now when I present it to my boss, errrr I mean my wife and she completely shoots this down, then I can look at the Kessils again.
At this point Im leaning towards the Radions for this reason - color spectrum.
