Hi Roger,
I have a pump model 1073.03a. When power goes out the pump starts but the water in the return line only goes about 12" high.
I have to lift the pump out of the water where it makes that no water pump sound and then it can reach the overflow and run as it should. The overflow box is around 48" above the pump.The pump is always cleaned. What could be wrong? And is this pump still under warranty?

It sounds like the impeller is damaged in some way, either the blades are broken or the blades are slipping on the magnet.

Hi Roger,
I checked that out last time I cleaned it and there was nothing wrong with the impeller.

I would have to see the pump, how old is it, have you checked that when you hold the magnet in one hand the impeller blades cannot free spin 360?

Hi Roger,
You can not spin it. It's somewhere around 18 months. Couldn't find the receipt.
