1074/2...would it fit over brace?

Hi Roger,

simple question for you, I am currently finalizing matters with a local Aquarium shop in Saudi Arabia for a 40*40*26 in 180G AGA tank. I will be having a brace all around the top part of the tank to hold it all together the width should be 1 inch around. Giving the width of the brace 1 inch approxiamtely, would I be able to place the outlet retrofit 1074/2 over the edge, or is the brace to thick?

It can span up to 1.75".
