Im using Ustream, Flash Media Live Encoder, with the Logitech C920 for 1080 res. I know its not an IP cam but that route was too expensive. You can see my setup in my sig and view it from 12-5. I have a dual monitor setup at work and have my tank up all day.

I tried Ip cams and what I hated the most was low FPS. My setup requires a PC to host the webcam but I can view in 1080 @ 30fps.

if you use logmein.com you can use any cam you want. You can log into your PC from anywhere in the word and view the cam pretty much in full motion no lapse at all.

That may be an option for him but I use logmein on 8 diff computers. At 28mb download and 8mb upload I still get a noticeable refresh rate on the highest quality. If the OP just wanted to glace at his cam to check on his tank through the day this may work. The setup I have is designed to watch your tank like a tv. If you have 3mb avail you should have no refresh rate @ a constant stream.

Cam looks good. Looking at mine on logmein.com its just a little bit of lag. I do like your setup though. When I do it again I doubt I will go 720 or 1080 I will opt for a cam with zoom.

if you have an old iphone you can also use that with mobiola webcamera and also logmein and it will not cost you 1 cent.

Keep in mind that use of a Webcam opens up some serious privacy issues.

To be on the safe side i would obtain a model release and publicity agreement with each fish and member of the CUC.

Commercial use of the webcam will require coordination with the appropriate fish performerance trade union, including inspection of the said aquarium to ensure safe OSHA workplace practices are in effect. We dont even want to get into the immigration procedures, how many undocumented aliens to do have in your tank?
