10g Nano FOWLR

Holy crap....havent been on here forever!!! haha....Well...I was at a LFS yesterday...and some had brought in a black and white clownfish that they couldn't keep anymore...so since it is "adoptable" it is free. So I thought why not....I didn't get it yet...but I was just wondering if that would work...or do they get to big?

You got a black and white occellaris clown. I have on in my 12 gallon auapod. She is one of my favortie fishes. You can keep one.

well I guess there has been a little mistake.....ummm....when I first saw the clown in the tank....with the lights it looked like a black and white clown....but when the lady scooped it out of the tank it was brown and i'm like "uh-oh" it's a maroon clown! But I couldnt just give it back.....even though I probably should have...Now he looks so peaceful in there and happy...so i dont know.

Why did you take it out? You should never remove a fish unless it it nessacary. Also the maroon will out grow a 10 gallon.

holy frickin' crap...lol..I have been so busy...School started...so that means homework...my tank is doin' alright...but something went super wrong and my fish died...he wasnt eating and i was really confused...but that was a while ago so now i "reset" it and its up and running again...i plan on getting a job soon so i don't have to mooch of my parents...I'm thinkin' about gettin' 2 Green Clown gobies, then some live plants to go in there...I'm thinkin' about maybe a Shaving Brush Plant....heard of these?

First of all Green Clown Gobies don;t live in live plants and it is not their natural habitiats. I may be wrong but I have never heard of salt water live plants, I have seen fresh water live plants. Just use live rock gobies will like it better. You need to do weekly 2 gallon water changes. If you don't than you are in trouble.

Ok....so now I have this cycled tank with nothin' in it....great huh?.....I have a new plan kinda sorta....Well the only living things I have in there now are the 3 hermits...the snail died...found him upside down...But I think I need to add more live rock first. I was thinkin' about buyin' 16lbs...is that too much? I'd be addin' to my about 4lbs...haha

well theres only 2 places that sell LR around here one is $7lb which is crappy...but has some life, and the other is $8lb which is better has some life....but g's...$8...with liveaquaria.com....its like 69.99 for 16lbs...and thats adds up to be like 4.72lb...so hmmm

I guess the more Bio-filtration the better but you haev got to consider the water the rock id displacing. remember 8lbs =1 gallon of water. Therefore i have 7.5 gallons plus the filter. Just goes to show you how rock displaces the water.....
