Wow...congratulations! From what I have read raising the fry is no easy job. I wish you the best and please continue to share your progress.

I always wanted to learn how to raise clowns but afraid i will kill them all Great job and thanks for sharing. What type of clown are they?

:love2: Mom and Pop :)

Mom is first pic and dad is the second...(he's tending to his eggs and didn't want to come out for the camera).

Wow congrats!!! I'm still waiting for mine to lay eggs. How did you raise them the first days and do you have a special setup for the breeding?

Thanks! Just a 10 gallon tank half full the first 5 days or so now about 75% full. LOTS of rotifers, nhbbs and water changes. That's about it ;)

Nice work. I raised a few batches of maroons a few years ago and I know how much work it is. Keep up your water changes in the baby tank and you should be good to go, the hard part is over now that they have metamorphed into real fish. It is amazing how many rotifers they eat when they are larvae, isn't it?

Thanks! I would love to try maroons, they are so pretty. Did you have to separate the babies earlier? I know they are a little more aggressive :mad2::p

I should have... they began to pick off the weaker ones as they got older, I did put the ones being picked on in a small critter tank inside the 10 gallon to protect them.
