Thanks. When those picture were taken, I was at the beginning of an algae bloom. It lasted last than a week. Instead of their Detox Blox, I went with six liters of Siporax.

I went with a bonsai a few branches and I believe the other structure is called cobble. Thanks for the compliment.

Any changes in your routines etc?
Since I went from a 4 bulb retro with reef brites to a 8 bulb sunpower with RB, I am trying to find the right height. I currently have the lights 10 inches off the surface and it appears to be working.
None of the sps from my previous tank were transferred. I had a serious outbreak of bubble algae and aiptasia and could not take the risk.
The only thing that has been added to my routine is the changing of filter socks.

Very nice tank. I am planning a similar Reef Savvy build. I have a question for you. I like the look of your aquascape but I would be worried that there is not enough live rock for adequate filtration. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks.

Very funny...but the dimensions and look of your 75 was inspiration for my current tank. IMO...if you are going to redo your setup, I would do a minimalist look without getting a new tank. Unless you want to have something much larger, what you currently have is the same as, and some would say a Miracle is better than, a Reef Savvy.
To answer your question....I struggled for a few months with this system because I did not understand the importance of bacteria. In addition to purchasing well inspected live rock (10lbs) from my lfs, I followed the startup example of a few fellow reefers who's sytems and knowledge I greatly admire - Sahin & Jackson6547 - and began adding bacteria.
I have been using the following since Nov:
Prodibio digest/bioptim/booster
Zeobak
Microbe-Lift Special Blend
I am finally getting the results/colors I had in my previous system.

That is funny. I really like my Miracles aquarium but I would like to have a larger tank so I can have some larger fish. But I don't really want to go larger then 48" as I am afraid I would be overwhelmed at this point and also I could keep my current ATI LED Powermodule. 48" would give me another 12" from my current tank. I am going to get a quote from Miracles as well. I have not finalized my decision but that is what I am considering.
I have also started dosing Prodibio products on my current system in hopes to get rid of some hair algae.
So do you have any live rock in your sump?

I will post an updated pic shortly to show the DT amount.
The live rock purchased totaled three pieces and are still in the display with 2 ceramic and a piece of dry rock. My other dry and ceramic rock is in the sump.
I believe that at this point everything has been seeded/live and just needs more time to have the bacteria develop.
I doubt if there is more than 20lbs of rock in the sump.

Tank is looking very nice. Corals are showing good colours too. The Prodibio was and is working great for me. I completely managed to stop using GFO and maintain that over the last 5-6 weeks. I say was because this last weekend I started a Zeo reactor running a reduced amount of Zeolite...so kind of running a Prodibio/Zeovit hybrid system.
My tank is now coming upto 5-6 months and having started from nothing but dead sand and a few branch and plate rocks, along with a litre or two of Siporax, some of the corals (mainly the aquacultered ones) are already showing pretty impressive colours for me in a tank thats less than 6 months old.
As on previous setups, whenever I've used Prodibio, apart from some minor hair algae, I didnt get any other big algae cycles. A small amount of diatoms and a small bit of hair algae and that was it. No Cyanno/Dinos etc. I dont even wipe the glass for a week.
Keep up the fishload, weekly water changes, feed the tank and most importantly; keep the parameters stable and let time do its magic on the coral colours.

I have another question. How do you like the 18" tank height? I was planning on 20" height for my new rimless build but for that height in a rimless tank I need 5/8" glass, which I don't want to do. However if I drop down to 18" I can stay at 1/2". Are you happy with 18" height? Thanks for your comments.

As with your experience, the Prodibio did not create any issues with me either.
My cyano/Dino problem was caused by me dosing various products to assist with my faded colors i.e. Acropower. I stopped dosing those products when I began adding bacteria.
