Decided to make my tank a FISH ONLY tank,
Ofcourse I need some suggestions.

I've been told by my LFS that I can stock up the tank with a bunch of fish.
Heres what i have in mind:

-Harlequin Tusk x1
-Lionfish x1
-A tang? (need recommendations, i've been told not to)
-One-spotted fox face
-Maybe 2 dwarf lion fishes
-Triggers (Niger? Need recommendations)
-Puffer fish
-eel of some sort?
Need more suggestions on fish ! Cool fishes? Aggressive fishes are fine also!
How many fishes can i add in a FOWLR tank?

I was thinking of doing no live sand since it's expensive and it will be easier for me to clean a bare bottom tank
Will also put Rock, Does it matter if its Live Rock or Not? Was also thinking of putting some decorations and stuff.
Feel free to chime in.
it's going to have a 30 gal sump and a skimmer
Lights will be metal halides.

It's just the stock lights that comes with the tank haha (is that bad?)
, i was thinking of maybe putting some hardy and inexpensive corals in there just to make it shine a little bit.

I know that seems like a lot of water, but with you list it will get crowded. Quickly.
The tusk and most triggers will eventually need a larger tank.
Please read a bit more on the requirements of each species, then ask here. Especially about compatibility.
Your LFS is in business to sell you product, not help you have a successful tank. That's what RC is for.
Good luck and keep us posted.

What are the dimensions? I would do a Picasso Trigger, a Volitan, an Eel and a Puffer and call it a day. That would make for a gorgeous tank.

What they said ^^^ - do a bit more reading before deciding on your species list.

It's not bad per say... Just overkill and wasteful. Wasting money (electric bills), wasting replacement bulbs, wasting electrons!

If you want to add corals and go the reef route then they are amazing. But that's an entirely different tank.

Tank would be too small for a Niger trigger, or probably most triggers I think. Pretty sure you're going to have to scale back some of your fish plans, that is too many fish.

Your decorations will need to be cleaned occasionally to keep algae from overgrowing them.

IMO people always skimp on lighting with FO tanks. I think it's a huge mistake. While the fish don't necessarily need good light to survive, they still utilize the spectrums to perform bodily functions. Most living things including fish (at least the ones in lighted environments) utilize the light for many bodily processes. Some fish even need the UV spectrum to be able to see properly.

So while it might not be totally necessary and no ones going to die without it, I think that depriving fish of full spectrum lighting is doing them a great dis-service and having it will only aid in their well being. Again, this is assuming you are keeping fish that have evolved in a sunlit habitat. I mean, can you mix up some saltwater, throw some PVC elbows in with an air stone or 10 and successfully keep fish? Sure. But we are trying to recreate an ecosystem here, and we want our animals to thrive, not simply just live. Plus the fish tend to look much better under that type of lighting. Why would you pay so much money for fish, for the purpose of looking at them, without lighting them for optimum viewing? So I think the halides would be a great addition to your tank and I would run them.

Anyways, off my soapbox.

Some of the guys (and gals) are right. 115g isn't much in the way of huge aggressive fish. Think about it. Most of these fish are not bred, they are caught. They are geared toward living, and some have been for a while, in a expansive darn near limitless environment. So cramming an animal that's used to that, into a tiny (by comparison) glass box, is borderline cruel.

Ideally, you want to take the minimum requirements and double it. Just look the fish up on LA and read the descriptions, and the min requirements and then ask questions here, which you are already doing, so kudos to you!

However, if it was me, and I was doing a predator tank that size. I would get the following:

An eel.
Not a huge one. I'm a big fan of both snowflakes and wolf eels, both are large enough to be cool, and small enough to live happily in your tank.

An angler.
Most anglers don't need a whole heck of a lot of swim room. Just make sure that any fish you get are significantly bigger than your specimen, or you risk making it lunch. Striated anglers are interesting, black anglers are also cool but can get over a foot long. A. Striatus would be my pick.

A Lion fish.
I would avoid the volitan. They are big, and feeding one in addition to the other above suggestions would create a huge bio load. I would go with a smaller one such as a fuzzy dwarf or a radiata.

Puffer.
You would be limited to Tobys in your tank, but there are still some decent sized and beautiful Toby puffers out there.

I wouldn't do much more than that. Just feeding these guys is going to create a huge mess. I also wouldn't get anything that is a coral eater, as your halides will tempt you into buying some eventually. I think a reef, with some appropriately picked residents and some easy corals would look amazing in your tank.

Keep us updated!

IMO, Yellow, Kole, or Tomini Tang will work on your current list. Snowflake eels will work. Smaller species of Lionfish will work (don't recommend 2).

Harlequin Tusk- No
Angler- No
Triggers- No

Live Aquaria show a min tank size of 180 gal for a Niger trigger. Which i would think would still be too, especially for your complete stocking list.

Why are you nixing an angler?

There are smaller ones that don't pose much of a risk if you choose tank mates wisely.
