12 gal JBJ Hood Question

Anyone know how to remove the hood?

I just bought a new hood with dual lights, fans, moon lights and all that good stuff, but I can't see to figure out how to remove the original hood. I am about ready to take a cutting wheel to it.

I would prefer to not chop it up if I do not have to.

Any ideas? It had to be installed, so it should come off? Right?

They are held on with clips. Just pop them off.

I believe the hood goes all the way back then the hinges are squeezed and it should pop off. I didn't know that when I installed mine and it is too close to the wall to come off. Oh well.

No clips on this one. It is a few years old. The new ones have clips.

**** I figured it out. You need to flip the top up, then pull it forward. There are two tabs that need to slip under the pivot point and they slip out from the buttom. You need to rock it back and forth a tad, and using a screwdriver to push down helps.

I figured this out after I got frustratred and cut the left side off.
