I broke down and added a couple of softies to the tank.

20 20- the algae problem is gone (knock on wood). I added a phosban reactor and it seemed to help. I also think the tank has just matured a little more. I lost a lot of my snails for some reason. And I have now lost a lot of crabs, since I treated for redbugs. I'll be getting more snails but I think I'll stay away from hermits.

your maroon wants a rose bubble!

Nice work. I am planning an upgrade from a 100 to a 200 so I have become adicted to these types of posts.

you might as well put reflective mylar on the inside of that plywood glare cover, then angle it slightly

You've got a beautiful tank marino420td, I'd like to ask quickly is that a Lemonpeel Angelfish in your 65 gallon reef? if so does it bother any kind of coral or is it entirely reef safe? thank you.

Thanks. I had a Lemonpeel in my 65 gallon about 2 years ago but it unfortunately died. I did not have many corals at that time so it did not bother anything. There are only 4 damsels and a clownfish in that tank now.

Looks like I lost one of my peppermint shrimp with the Interceptor treatment. Bummer. But I do see some pods crawling around in the refugium so it did not kill all of them. Hopefully the population will replenish quickly.

Did you do any manual removal of the algae, or did it just go away on it's own?

Right now the tank is on cruise control. I added a Regal Tang this week and it is doing well. I have all of the components of my calcium reactor now and will be putting it online soon.

I'll try to get some updated pictures up soon.

Hey marino420td - Are the Lumenarc Mini's the 'true' Lumenarcs or the Coralvue knockoffs (not that that's a bad thing)? Wondering what you thought of the construction of them and the ease of mounting?

they are Lumenarcs. Mounting is very easy. Two hooks on each reflector to mount it. I believe there are pictures of how mine are mounted in one of the first pages of this thread.

Here are some updated photos from last night. Not the best shots but you get the picture.
