:beer:Hello,

You can do a search for Hydro Wizard @ 15000 gph and full remote control board with options. They are $ 1,700.00 shipped to your door from Germany and will give your customers a cool feature to see as your reef will have all flow needed even big waves.
ALSO very nice skimmer those things are a beast when set up right per other threads. Do they still make those would really like one for my system:)

I have no idea what this hydro thing is but closed loops require outboar,d engine and holes drilled in tank and pvc and bulkheds. Ocean motions or automatic electrinic ball valves switchnwater directions like waves. Ive used both.

Wow guys thanks for all the help and ideas.... AS I'm reading your responses about the closed loop systems ur saying that i need to drill holes in my tank and mine is fiberglass and it is a pain. Is there any other way because we don't want to have any problem with leaks and bulk heads. There is room above if that helps.

And I searched for the hydro wizard and could not find anything just some pics and videos and one site that says it is 4000 dollars so maybe a link would be helpful :)

Thanks again everyone for all the suggestions and the closed loop seems like it would work great but I don't want to drill for risks of leaks

Yes, there is. You can run the pipes up over the side to an external pump. Pipes and water intakes inside the tank can be hidden or left exposed - your choice.

The closed-loop system is for circulation and flow within the tank only. You would still need a separate overflow and return if you want to route to filtration in an external sump. It's easy to confuse the two systems.

What size pump would u need because I sort of see what ur talking about because then after it goes into the pump it shoots back into the tank and I can place "hidden" PVC behind the rocks and have it shoot back..., right? Or am I way off hahaha

I no the skimmer is not made any more but many people say it is a great skimmer. I got it from a fish store in Wisconsin. But I don't believe they are very easy to find

The car wash is scheduled to open on April 15 on the earliest and I am there on the weekend and from 3-7 on the weekday

Hey just got a few more pics of the sump with the water flowing :waveband:

And not sure why there is a side window on the tank but its sorta nice i guess:lol2:

Flow thru and under rockwork

Flow thru and under rockwork

What is everyone's thoughts on phosphates for the long term and should I go with the refugium for the tank????

Hi cub.

Great flow within rockwork is very important for not letting bad stuff settle to allow buid up of phosphates. I have always run high grade pellet carbon along with prefilters( change often).
Refugiums with a rooting macro algae with 3500k lighting will help alot also algae scrubbers too. Rubbermaid products make great open sumps/refugiums and remote DSB's work well also. I have dozens of peppermint in my refugiums along with other infana.:hmm1:

Yes we are creating a closed system for the waterflow behind the rocks and in any slow areas. the refugium will have all sorts of life in it. Mine at home has over a hundred of thos turbo grazers that must have spawned in the main tank and the babys were born in the sump. We will just let them grow and put them in the main tank.

And thanks for all of the comments
